After it was clear already in January 2015 that I am moving house and everything was brought to your new home in the bag, I could make my detailed thoughts about my new Malawi basin. Decided I was then 200x70x60 I let me customize at Friedeberg ATD for a basin with the dimensions. The laver and cabinet is from the Classic series with a body and Kieskantendecor "Spanish Olive" The doors have been awarded the "dark walnut" Decor and the cover was designed left black. Furthermore, a closet increase was made by me ordered to 80cm and can be employed in the middle two compartments of the lower cabinet drawers for more storage space for the 1000 things that you would need to get.
Another highlight in my pelvis is because the back wall of AquaDecor. Here I have chosen for the Model A21. The rear wall was playing for something Tetris (the individual modules must be puzzled together first) relatively quickly fixed with 4 tubes aquarium silicone in the basin.
Here brown river sand was used to my aquarium trusted dealer had just reinbekommen to the day when I wanted to start with the construction of the basin. Seen, liked, buy) In retrospect, I still have a decoration added some shells.
Special features of the facility:
The rock is used basalt quarry 150kg Here, I was very keen to make the pool so that my treasures give many different hideaways. Also Overhang and enough shaded areas I could give them that.
For the optics I have 2 Moorkienwurzeln standing in the basin. With regard to the humic acids can be argued, the stocking no deterioration can be seen thereby. A root hangs from above into the pool and thus creates some shady areas in the basin
The pool is illuminated with LED. Here I have chosen the Daytime cluster. Since I'm a big fan of any technical gimmick to me this system was just right. Despite the proud purchase price I am very impressed by the system and convinced.
In the control I have decided for the TC 420 aquarium computer. With an adapter cable to get the control lines of the individual lanes directly to a ferrule and can thus easily be mounted on the TC420.
The TC420 is the same installed program with the beige supplied CD to the PC / laptop and quite simple to use, here you will find after a few minutes along well.
Although the TC420 Software I holds a few examples of programs here I decided to write it himself. She looks roughly like this: 12.00 - Sunrise with a little Dawn 12:00 to 15:00 Transition to normal daylight from mixed white / blue 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Daylight White / Blue 20:30 to 10:00 p.m. transition from daylight with a little Abendröte to moonlight 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 Decreasing moonlight
When filtering I have decided for the Eheim XL1200 and the Fluval FX6, here a small description to:
Eheim XL1200: 3 hose connections (2 suction side, 1 pressure side) Priming aid: the integrated priming enables fast, easy and hygienic Start the filter Large prefilter: for extra long life and easy cleaning in between the filter Convenience description: grips, transport castors, 4 strong clips, multifunctional adapter, flow indicator, flow rate adjustable
Pump capacity: 1700 l / h For aquariums up to 1200 liters Delivery head: 2.8 m / Ws Consumption: 25W Tank capacity: 25L Filter volume: 13.5L
Fluval FX6: Pump capacity: 3500 l / h For aquariums up to 1500 liters Delivery head: 3.3 m / Ws Consumption: 41W Tank capacity: 20L Filter volume: 5.9 l
For enough oxygen in the tank ensures beside my powerheads, which I explain below, an Eheim 400 air pump. These features 2 outputs, each with 200l / h pump capacity. The power consumption is 4W.
The pelvis is kept 300 heater to 24 degrees Celsius by using each Rech and links a Eheim Jäger.
For a little upheaval all contribute 3 powerheads from Tunze. These are connected using switches all 12:00 to 22:30 completely random. Here are the details:
1 Tunze Turbelle Nano Stream 6015 Flow capacity: approx 1800L / h Power consumption 3.5W This was attached to the right side of the basin and is either geared to the water surface where it ensures the water movement.
2. Tunze Turbelle Nano Stream 6025 Flow capacity: approx 2800L / h Power consumption 5W This was attached to the left side of the basin and is either geared to the water surface where it ensures the water movement.
3. Tunze Turbelle stream 6065 Flow Rate: Approx 6500l / h Power consumption 12W This was attached to the right side of the pelvis and is used to circulate in the tank.
In each of the 4 compartments of the base unit a power strip with a separate earth leakage circuit breaker is installed in each case. If for example, 1 filter causes a short circuit, the other filter is running on.
The current stocking is made up as follows:
Protomelas taeniolatus red empress Namalenje F1 NZ 1 male and 2 females (I would like to raise it to 1/3)
Copadichromis Azureus 1 male and 1 female (I would like to raise it to 1/2)
Fossochromis Rostratus 1 male and 2 females (newcomer)
Otopharynx lithobates Sulphur head Zimbawe rock 1 male and 2 females
4/4 Synodontis Multipunktatus and 7 young catfish with about 3cm size
Ph 8.0 GH 19 KH 7 Nitrite 0.00 mg / I Nitrate 9 mg / I NH4 0.00 mg / I NH3 0.00 mg / I Temperature 24 degrees Water change 70% every 2 weeks
Here I present my treasures a wide range of flake food: Tropical Chichlid Color Flakes XXL Tropical Spirulina Super 36 Tropical Malawi flakes Tropical Breeder Mix Tropical Chichlid Omnivore medium pellet
Further: Tubifex Sera House granules of Aqua House Gaus House granules of Malawi oasis Mühldorf Hikari Chichlid Excel
