Description of the aquarium:
80x35x40 = 112 liters ~ 29 gallons (us)
Standard Jewel Basin
Around 20 kilos of white calcareous sand
2 Anubias plants
Special features of the facility:
About 15 kilos Kohlenstein. It does not look as good as "real" jewels, but has the advantage of being fairly easily. 30 snail shells of various sizes.
2 * 18 Watt, a lamp with a white light and one with yellow. The lamps are covered about 40% with foil to make the aquarium a bit darker. Lighting time 8:00 a.m. to 22:00.
Bioflow 400 pump. 1:25 liter volume. Once a week, a change of 40% by volume of water.
100 watt heating element.
Lamprologus Ocellatus 3/3
Temperature: 24 - 26 degrees
Once a day, either Artemia or NLS.
The Ocellatus are really great animals, which I can really recommend. So far everything is going well with space and aggression; the fish are only half grown. If it is too aggressive, I'll find them a larger aquarium.
