Get inspired to create your own beautiful tank(s)
Aquarium Hauptansicht von !!!!!!Becken steht zum Verkauf!!!!
Description of the aquarium:
Lake Malawi
Tank size:
270x80x65 = 1400 liters ~ 369 gallons (us)
Specific features:
The basin comes from diamond aquarium / Klaus Ruffert and is made of 15mm glass gefertig.

We have built new and I have fulfilled the dream of a room divider between the kitchen and living room / dining table. The basin stands on a pedestal, which was bricked directly on the bedplate.
Mir has been aware that a room divider in Malawi is not an easy thing, and very much hope that you like it. I am satisfied so far, although there for me from the optical one A (living room) and a B-side cuisine. The view from the kitchen is very interesting, as you can very well the animals, which have withdrawn observe here.

Aquarium decoration:
- Beige sand and brown sand in 0.4 - 1.4 mm grain size
- A little fine gravel
a few bundles Vallisneria gigantea for the Central and the background. There are still more to come to the caves continue to cover and prevent a complete review by the pool
Special features of the facility:
Here I have taken the Back to Nature Faux modules from my old tank and combined with other original Back to Nature modules. The modules have been glued with aquarium silicone on acrylic sheets. On the acrylic sheet I have matching stones placed to keep the rocks at the bottom. Furthermore, some matching the Colour stones are still positioned on and around the rocks.

There are four great hiding places under / behind the rocks.
So colleagues can rest in front of others also once.
Also arise from the stones among rocks hiding places for catfish and for spiny us later for Malawi crab

The outflow of the external filter, the two intake pipes and the circulation pump will be covered in the near future by modules / plants so that no technology should be visible.
Aquarium equipment:
First, the pool ran with 2 dimmable 80 W T5 tubes, but I am now switched to LED lighting and am very satisfied

- 2x 525mm Aqua LED RGB Light Styl
- 1x 1125mm Aqua LED RGB Light Styl
- Daylight Simulator 4 programs

I have chosen here the following program:

7:00 to 8:00 morning light illumination, Morgenrot
8:00 to 9:00 Sunrise
7:00 p.m. to 10:00 Slow transition to daylight
10:00 to 20:30 full daylight, no lunch break
20:30 to 20:40 Dusk
8:40 p.m. to 22:00 sunset, sunset
10:00 p.m. to 5:00 at night the moonlight (light illumination)

The daylight simulator is bad in any case, I'm going but still down a computer from Profilux to have more options available and to be able to adjust more effects.

To this end, then is still suitable adapter necessary:

- LEDControl4:

LEDControl4 is connected to the 1-10 V interfaces of ProfiLux and outputs PWM signals, which can be used to control LED lights or LED drivers.

The LED light bars are diagonally arranged:
- Between the two crossbars (1125 mm)
- Left and right between crossbar and cover (2x 525mm)

As a result, "sunny" and give "shady" sites.
2x Fluval FX5:
Technical specifications:

Pump capacity: 3500 l / h
Circulating: 2300 l / h
Filter volume: 20 liters
Lifting height (max.): 3.3m
230-240 V / 50 Hz / 48 W

Thus, a proper filter and a volume circulation rate yields of 4600 l / h

The FX5 are positioned on each side of the basin under the base.
The area under the base / filter is still tiled and laid Fussbodenheizschlangen.
Thus, the filter directly from the ground to heat. Heating is therefore completely unnecessary.

At the Filterauslässen I each Eheim Power diffusers fitted.
This makes for a really hammer flow.
Other equipment:
TUNZE Turbelle Stream 6125 12000L / h flow pump:

Flow capacity: 12,000 l / h Power consumption: 22 W Voltage / Frequency: 230V / 50Hz (115V / 60Hz) Cable length: 2 m Dimensions: ø90 mm discharge: ø63 mm Magnetic Holder 25 mm glass thickness

Sera Air 550R air pump
- 4 air connections
- 230V - 12W
- CAP: 550L / H, Pressure: ~ 150 mbar

I'm planning yet another variable flow pump, which can then be controlled with the Profilux computer.
Nimbochromis Venustus 1/2

Nimbochromis fuscotaeniatus 1/0 (1/2 planned)

Taeniochromis holotaenia 2/3 (1/3 of hatchlings)

Fossochromis rostratus 1/2

Cyrtocara moorii 1/2

Exochochromis anagenys 0/1 (1/2 planned)

Champsochromis caeruleus 1/1

Dimidiochromis compressiceps 1/3

Copadichromis borleyi "Kadango Red Fin" 1/2

I have now heard from 3 sides that you can keep the Taeniochromis in a group. Because I care for this for some time, I can definitely say that it is a very quiet peaceful journeyman. So I'll give it a try. So far everything is at least quiet in the pool.

20 Synodontis multipunctatus WF / WFNZ (were times 5 WF, now I have the whole horde neck :-)), of which 18 are lazy copies and 2 Stunt catfish that half the day looping swimming (follows video :-))

2 Aethiomastacembelus moori "rosette" (thanks to Tremalzo / Dennis for this hot tip!)

The last type, I would like to nimbochromis livingstonii 1/2 running.

If I should get sometime just adds a Potamonautes orbitospinus Malawiseekrabbe.

Thanks to the guru / Flo for links to his side! :-)

Also I am looking forward an underwater video with a buddy to turn ...
