Habitat: M.
potaroensis is a demersal (living at or near
the bottom of the water body) species. The species
is very habitat specific, living on banks of submerged
litter, in rivers with relatively fast flow. Can occur
in relatively small forest streams with sufficient
flow to keep the litter banks from becoming anoxic.
